Registration Information & FAQ's
FALL 2019 Student Discounts
Please note that Fall 2019 students will not appear in our database until September 1, 2019.
If you will be a student in Fall 2019 but did not enroll in Summer 2019 classes then you will not be eligible for program discounts (online) until September 1st. If you would like to register before September 1st and be afforded the student pricing then you will need to register in person at the Recreation Center Customer Service Center and bring proof of your Fall 2019 registration status. We will not refund price differences for those choosing to register online before September 1st.
Our registration website is tied to UCSB's LDAP database which allows all current UCSB Students, Faculty and Staff the ability to use their UCSB Net ID for accessing accounts.
This affiliation is how pricing is determined within the system. It is imperative to log in using your NET ID if you wish to be afforded any available discounts. The discounted price will not be applied retroactively and refunds for this difference will not be made.
Community Members with no official relationship to the Universtiy may also take part in many of our programs. If you have signed up for a program with us since November of 2015, your account is still active. (Community Members may not participate in Intramurals, Sport Clubs and as noted on event specific information).
You may add dependents to your account but may need our assistance for the following tasks:
- Adding an Adult 'Head of Houshold' to your account
- Updating Address or Phone
- Merging accounts
- Fixing mistakes to a date of birth

Response time for all customer queries is within two business days (e.g. via e-mail or phone).
Rec Cen Memberships
At this time, only Rec Cen Community (3 month or Annual) memberships are eligible for online renewal. You can only renew the exact membership term whcih is currently expiring online (ie 3-month to 3-month). A change in term must be done in person at the Customer Service Center.
Course/Program Age Eligibilty
The majority of our offerings are not open to minors. Programs/offerings available to youth will be promoted as such.
Did you officially retire from any UC Campus? Then come to the Customer Service Center with a copy of your Retiree Card and we will happily change your eligibility status to 'Retired'. This will afford you our Faculty/Staff pricing on memberships and programs when applicable.

Finding Programs and Offerings
Be aware that there are Classification, Semester and Category options in the left hand column of the 'Programs' page. If you are looking for Summer Camps for instance, you will need to toggle to the 'Summer' semester option. The 'Semester' option wil default to whatever semester we are currently in. You can also use the 'Search Products' option at the top of the page to assist with finding your desired program.

Go to the Log In page and look for the link for credential retrieval.
We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover online. In person payments may be made via cash, check or the aforementioned credit cards.
